Minerva Academy delivered yet another record-breaking performance in the AIFF Sub-Junior League, dismantling Mother’s Pride Football Academy 18–0 to complete a resounding double over the opposition this season. The result follows their earlier 17–0 away victory, reaffirming Minerva’s attacking supremacy and consistency in the competition.
Having already defeated Mother’s Pride comprehensively in the reverse fixture, Minerva once again showcased their ruthless efficiency and structured attacking play. Despite dominating possession from the outset, the breakthrough came in the 28th minute, when Rimoson opened the scoring with a composed finish, setting the tone for what would become an extraordinary goal-scoring display.

The second half saw Minerva introduce key substitutions, and the impact was immediate. The fresh legs brought renewed intensity, stretching the opposition’s defensive structure and creating space in the attacking third.
Leading the charge was Ngayaiza, who produced a clinical performance to score a superb hat-trick. Supporting the attacking onslaught, Bickson also netted three goals, capitalising on precise build-up play and intelligent positioning inside the box.
Rimoson added another to his tally, completing a brace, while captain Akash Yumnam contributed two well-taken goals. The most prolific display came from Mukhtar, who delivered a sensational four-goal performance, demonstrating composure, sharp movement, and lethal finishing ability in front of goal.
By the final whistle, Minerva Academy had recorded a staggering 18–0 victory, underlining their dominance in the Sub-Junior League campaign.
With this result, Minerva Academy have now scored an astonishing 55 goals in just five matches, averaging 11 goals per game, while maintaining defensive discipline throughout the competition. Their attacking depth, squad rotation efficiency, and tactical organisation continue to set the benchmark at the youth level.
The Warriors now shift their focus to a high-profile encounter as they prepare to face Punjab FC in an away fixture on 24th at the Roundglass Sports Academy. The upcoming clash promises to be a significant test as Minerva look to maintain their momentum and extend their remarkable run in the league.
