Minerva Academy FC Dominates, Clinches Record 98th Title at 5th U-17 All India Baba Fateh Singh Football Cup

Minerva Academy Football Club (MAFC) has once again asserted its dominance in youth football, successfully defending its title and lifting the 5th U-17 All India Baba Fateh Singh Football Cup 2025. This victory marks a significant milestone, adding the 98th major trophy to the club’s illustrious cabinet.

The young Minervans capped off an impeccable campaign by defeating SBHS Mehna Hoshiarpur 2-0 in the final. The decisive goals came courtesy of a brilliant brace from star striker Laishram Mahesh, securing the championship for MAFC.

The tournament was a rigorous knockout challenge, featuring 16 top teams from across Punjab. The most remarkable achievement of MAFC’s victorious run was their impenetrable defence: the team did not concede a single goal throughout the entire competition.

Goalkeeper Daksh was the undisputed hero of the defence, securing four consecutive clean sheets across the four matches played. His exceptional performance was duly recognised, earning him the prestigious Best Goalkeeper of the Tournament award.

Minerva’s journey to the final was marked by clinical, high-scoring victories. They began by crushing Royal FC 10-0 with hat-tricks from Azam and Denamoni.

With this successful defence of the title, Minerva Academy FC continues its legacy as a premier institution for football development, consistently adding silverware while producing top-tier talent.
